A First Mover Leading the Global Industry-Academia-Research Collaboration Ecosystem, ERICA 3.0
Welcome to the Campus Innovation Park Project Office.
Hanyang University ERICA, one of Korea’s leading universities in industry-academia collaboration, has pursued regional and institutional growth since attracting Ansan Technopark in 1997.
Across approximately 330,000 square meters of campus land, ERICA has built an industry-academia-research cluster with leading institutions and companies, including Gyeonggi Technopark, Korea Testing Laboratory, Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute, Korea Institute of Industrial Technology, and LG Innotek. This foundation has evolved from ERICA 1.0 into ERICA 2.0, a business-friendly innovation platform.
In 2019, ERICA was selected for the Campus Innovation Park pilot project, jointly led by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. The project is transforming approximately 185,000 square meters of underutilized campus land into an Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex near the future Hanyang University ERICA Station on the Shinansan Line, scheduled to open in 2028.
The project consists of two phases: Phase 1 covers 78,605 square meters and includes the Kakao Data Center, Entegris KTC, and the Campus Innovation Park HUB building scheduled for completion by the end of 2026. Phase 2 covers 105,525 square meters and will include support facilities and R&D spaces for medicine, pharmaceuticals, bio-health, and biotechnology. Site development for both phases is scheduled for completion in the first half of 2027.
ERICA will continue to develop the Campus Innovation Park as a platform for innovative growth, where learning, work, and life coexist, while fostering innovative companies, attracting global R&D centers, and creating quality jobs for young talent.
